Purification

Purification is very much the same as cleansing, clearing & smudging energies.  You can use smoke from White Sage, Desert Sage, White Copal & many other herbs & resins.

Tools & Items You Will Need

• Smudging Herb (White Sage, Desert Sage, White Copal)
• A Coal Tablet
• Cauldron or Fire Proof Dish
• A White Candle
• Frankincense, Eucalyptus, Tea Tree or Purification Anointing Oil
• Smudging Fan (small besom broom or feather)

When You Are Ready to Begin

• Begin by preparing your sacred space & altar, refer to Spell/Ritual Preparation tab.
• Your sacred space & altar can be table, floor, cabinet top any where inside or out where you will not be undisturbed.
• Write the spell below on your piece of paper with the pen (change any part of it that you want to or write your own).
• When this is done it is a good idea to clear yourself with white sage or have a cleansing shower or bath.
• This spell does need a fair bit of concentration & focus on the intent which can be built by taking time & care in it's preparation.
• Visualize being surrounded by white light & both white & mauve light flowing into you from above washing all negativity away.
• At this point cast your circle.
• Anoint your candle & place it in the middle of your circle.
• Have you incense smouldering in the circle also.
• Light your candle.
• Recite the spell below two to three times or more until you feel the energy is right.
• As you do this waft the smoke from the smouldering incense around you.
• When you feel the energy is right the spell is done.
• Let the spell candle burn itself out if this is practical.
• Close your circle (you can do this before the spell candle burns itself out)

Spell Example

From high above & deep below,
Use this smoke to let go,

To wash away all not needed,
To mend & cleanse energies be weeded,

From this smoke let my spirit see,
Cleansed & renewed so mote it be.
